Billing and Subscription

SalvageData Backup subscriptions are managed securely through Stripe.


How billing works

  • Billing is handled through Stripe
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly
  • Your plan includes one device by default

Managing your subscription

You will receive a billing portal link by email when you sign up.

Using the billing portal you can: - Update your payment method - View invoices - Increase device quantity - Cancel your subscription


Adding another device

If you need to back up an additional computer: 1. Increase the device quantity in your billing portal 2. Install SalvageData Backup on the new device 3. Sign in using your existing account

The new device will activate automatically.


Failed or missed payments

If a payment fails: - Your account may be temporarily suspended - Backups will pause - Existing data remains safe

To restore service: 1. Update payment details in the billing portal 2. Contact SalvageData support if needed


Canceling your subscription

  • You can cancel at any time through the billing portal
  • Access to backups will be suspended after cancellation
  • Stored data is retained for a limited time

Contact support if you need data recovery after cancellation.


Billing questions or issues

If you cannot access your billing portal or have billing questions: - Contact SalvageData support - Include your account email and invoice number (if available)


Important notes

  • Backup data remains encrypted at all times
  • SalvageData does not store payment details directly
  • Stripe securely processes all transactions
